This Northwest tradition has been drawing Seattleites out of their cozy abodes, donning scarves and Starbucks red cups since 1949.  Watch from land or lake for a cheery celebration of twinkly lights, choirs singing carols on ships, and all around festiveness as crowds gather on shores around bonfires to anticipate the arrival of the ships.
